On Saturday April 20th 2013, Sunderland venues will be taken over by local musicians, in a bid to showcase the exciting sounds the city has to offer.

Sunderland Soundscape is an exciting project, developed through a new partnership between Sunderland Live and key players within the North East's thriving music scene. Born of a desire to open the ears of the city to the talent on its doorstep, Sunderland Soundscape, will take the region's best artists directly to the unsuspecting public. The all-day free event, which coincides with this year's National Record Store Day, will present live music across a variety of Sunderland city centre's most popular venues.
